Strontium titanate is a perovskite structure material widely studied. The possibility of creation of oxigen vacancies in the structure of this compound , increase significatively their physical properties like: electric conductivity, physical stability and photoluminescence. Oxygen impurities have being associated with the high PL, the main objective in this work is to enhance the point defect concentrations by accurately controlling the powder annealing (temperature, annealing time and atmosphere) in order to generate intense and broadband PL.
