He obtained the bachelor’s degree (1989), master’s degree (1991) and doctorate in physics (1994) from the State University of Campinas; and as a professor at the University of São Paulo (1999). Conducted research internships at the Max Plank Institut für Festkörperforschung, Stuttgart, Germany (7 months, 1992-1993); Walter-Schottky Institut, TU-München, Germany (26 months, 1994-1996) and Ecole Polytechnique Fédérale de Lausanne, Switzerland (5 months, 2003 and 2004). He is currently a Full Professor (MS-6) of the Department of Physics of the Paulista State University School of Sciences Júlio de Mesquita Filho, Campus de Bauru, Assistant Professional Master Coordinator of the Evaluation Area 47, Materials at CAPES / MEC and member of the Coordination Area: Engineering at FAPESP. He was coordinator of the evaluation area 47, Materials and member of CTC-ES at CAPES / MEC; scientific director of SBPMat and president of Clube Humboldt do Brasil. Has experience in Applied Physics, focusing on Materials Science, acting on the following subjects: electronic magnetic resonance, semiconductors, optoelectronic devices and biomaterials.
