Since 1990 he has been a professor at the Institute of Physics of the University. from Sao Paulo, Sao Paulo. He currently holds the position of Full Professor at the Department of Materials Physics and Mechanics. Works in Condensed Matter Experimental Physics and the following topics: magnetism, critical phenomena, superconductivity, nanostructured materials, general properties of transition metal oxides and strongly correlated electronic systems.
